SSLv3 contains a vulnerability that has been referred to as the Padding Oracle On Downgraded Legacy Encryption (POODLE) attack. SSLv3 is enabled in IBM Security Proventia Network Enterprise Scanner. In addition, OpenSSL vulnerabilities along with SSL 3 Fallback protection (TLS_FALLBACK_SCSV) were disclosed on October 15, 2014 by the OpenSSL Project.
