HD Moore of Rapid7 discovered a symlink attack in Wget, a command-lineutility to retrieve files via HTTP, HTTPS, and FTP. The vulnerabilityallows to create arbitrary files on the users system when Wget runs inrecursive mode against a malicious FTP server.
