Several vulnerabilities were discovered in libarchive, a multi-formatarchive and compression library, which may lead to denial of service(memory consumption and application crash), bypass of sandboxingrestrictions and overwrite arbitrary files with arbitrary data from anarchive, or the execution of arbitrary code.
