Christine Lazcano is the Western Hemisphere Advisor at the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA). In this role, Christine fosters cooperation and advances capacity building efforts with partners in Latin America and the Caribbean to protect U.S. critical infrastructure from physical and cyber threats, while supporting efforts to increase the security and resiliency of global infrastructure. In previous roles, she has executed similar work with partners in Europe, the Indo-Pacific, and the Middle East. Christine began her career at CISA as a U.S. Pathways Intern in June 2016.
Christine holds an M.A. in International Security focused on Quantitative Analysis, Forecasting, and Counter Terrorism from the Josef Korbel School of International Studies at the University of Denver; in addition to a B.A. in Political Science (International Affairs) and a B.S. in International Economic Development from the University of Arizona. She is fluent in Spanish and holds intermediate advanced proficiency in Arabic.
